Eight natives of Lviv region honoured with high state awards

To mark Constitution Day of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has conferred state awards on eight natives of Lviv region who have made a significant contribution to the country’s development through their work, talent and professional achievements.

The Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, 5th Class, has been awarded to the Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, His Beatitude Sviatoslav. The Order «For Merit», 1st Class, has been posthumously conferred on Member of the Ukrainian Parliament Stepan Kubiv.

The honorary title «People’s Artist of Ukraine» has been awarded to Ihor Bohdan. The title «Merited Artist of Ukraine» has been conferred on Liubomyr Deresh, and «Merited Figure of Science and Technology of Ukraine» on Nataliia Sybirna.

The title «Merited Doctor of Ukraine» has been awarded to Orest Chemerys, and «Merited Lawyer of Ukraine» to Iryna Seniuta. The title «Merited Worker of Physical Culture and Sport of Ukraine» has been conferred on the Director of the Department of Sport, Youth and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Roman Khimyak.

All these distinctions highlight the many years of conscientious work, professional success and dedication to Ukraine of each of the award-winning natives of Lviv region.
