In Lviv from 1 May, free parking will be available for combatants and individuals with disabilities resulting from war. Veterans will be able to use 100 free hours per month for parking on all equipped open grounds.
The benefit is provided for one vehicle only, which must be registered in the appropriate electronic register. To achieve this, the necessary documentation must be submitted to the Administrative Services Centre or online via the Resident’s Portal.
The Director of the Department of Urban Mobility, Oleh Zabarilo, explained that veterans can submit documents in a way convenient for them, and registration is ongoing.
The parking session is initiated through the UNIP web service, and a personal benefit code, sent via SMS, is used for authorisation. After the session ends, the space must be vacated or a new session started.
The Lviv City Council recommends private car parks adhere to the principles of preferential parking for veterans, providing respective opportunities at their discretion.
