Polish company Unimot to invest €60 million in construction of fuel terminal in Mostyska

Unimot S.A., a leading importer of fuel and petroleum products in Poland, has announced plans to build a large-scale fuel and energy complex in Shehyni village, which belongs to the Mostyska community in Lviv region.

This was announced by the director of government relations in Ukraine at Unimot S.A. Nazariy Volyansky, Enkorr reports.

According to him, the land plot has already been purchased:

  • The facility will be located in western Ukraine, in Mostyska;

  • investments in the construction are estimated at 55-60 million euros;

  • It is planned to create a modern fuel terminal that will become an important element of the region’s energy infrastructure.

This project is part of a strategic plan to strengthen Ukraine’s energy security by expanding logistics capabilities at the EU border.

Unimot has already acquired land for the construction of a large fuel terminal within the Shehyne community of Mostyska district with an expected investment of EUR 55-60 million.

This facility will become a strategic infrastructure link for the storage, discharge and shipment of fuel for the Ukrainian market. As noted back in 2022, Unimot Ukraine, together with the Lviv Regional State Administration, was considering three potential sites with the necessary space and access to the railway line. At that time, the first stage investment was estimated at €12 million and the creation of about 40 new jobs.

Key features of the project:

  • The terminal will receive fuel tankers on a narrow gauge;

  • Fuel will be discharged, stored and further transported;

  • Transportation – both by road and rail;

  • The project will strengthen Ukraine’s energy independence by ensuring stable fuel supplies.
