A campaign to install free individual gas meters has begun in apartment buildings across the Lviv region. The initiative is led by the Lviv branch of the “Gazmerezhi” company and focuses on apartments without a central building-level gas meter, where gas is used solely for cooking on a stove.
Installation is carried out in accordance with the Gas Distribution Network Code and is based on a pre-approved list of addresses that require meters.
Having an individual meter allows residents to pay only for the gas they actually use. This offers clear savings, especially when gas consumption is minimal or absent, such as during long trips or holidays.
To carry out the installation, specialists from “Gazmerezhi” need access to apartments. Residents are urged to monitor announcements in building entrances, respond promptly to technicians, and allow access for the work to proceed. Denying access hinders a campaign designed to benefit both individual consumers and the community as a whole.
This initiative not only enhances the accuracy of gas consumption tracking but also optimizes the load on the gas infrastructure. Individual meters reduce technical losses, contribute to supply stability, and promote energy efficiency throughout the region.
