Budshlyakhmash builds truck frame plant in Brovary with up to 75% production localization

Budshlyakhmash is constructing a new automotive frame manufacturing plant in Brovary for trucks and municipal equipment. The 3,000 m² production facility is expected to launch operations in mid-2026.

The plant will enable the company to increase localization of special-purpose vehicle production up to 75%, aligning with state procurement requirements.

Currently, Budshlyakhmash manufactures 70 units per month, based on Daewoo and JAC chassis. The company has already received a license for chassis assembly with permission to replace imported parts with Ukrainian-made components, reducing dependency on foreign supply chains.

The company’s future plans include:

  • production of wheel axles,

  • use of Ukrainian tires, fuel tanks, and plastic components,

  • cost reduction through higher localization.

According to Dmytro Kysylevskyi, Deputy Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development, the localization requirement in public procurement was a key incentive for Budshlyakhmash to invest in new manufacturing.

Currently, the company’s production localization stands at 40–60%, and it has joined the 15% compensation program for Ukrainian-made machinery.

Additionally, the new site will serve as the foundation for a mechanical engineering industrial park, expanding both regional and company manufacturing capabilities.

Total investment in the project is estimated at $40 million.
