For supporting the public accusation by prosecutors of the Zhovkva District Prosecutor’s Office, the court found a previously convicted 51-year-old resident of Lviv district guilty of premeditated murder, theft and violation of administrative supervision (Part 1 of Article 115, Part 2 of Article 185, Part 3 of Article 3). 185, Article 395 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He was sentenced to 11 years in prison.
It was established that in January last year, during the joint drinking of alcoholic beverages, a dispute arose between the defendant and his neighbor, during which the convict took a brick and struck it several times on the head of the latter. Continuing his criminal intent, the man struck him with his feet and fists. As a result of the received injuries the victim died on a scene.
In addition, due to his release from prison, the convict was required to report to the police and was not allowed to leave the house at night. However, he violated the rules of administrative supervision.
It has also been proved that during December-January the defendant repeatedly secretly stole someone else’s property.
