As a result, all individuals who attacked the victim have been identified. The investigation established that the incident took place in the town of Truskavets, where three young and one underage attacker assaulted the boy, who is disabled.
Acting intentionally, with exceptional cynicism, aiming to mock a helpless person, seeking self-affirmation by publicly humiliating him, demonstrating physical superiority and dominance, the attackers publicly mocked and beat the boy while recording their illegal actions on a mobile phone.
One of the organizers of the attack, a 14-year-old girl who has reached the age of criminal responsibility, has been charged with hooliganism (Part 1, Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Currently, the issue of applying corrective and educational measures to other participants of the conflict, who have not reached the age of criminal responsibility, is also being considered. Investigative actions are ongoing. The investigation is under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the investigators of the Inquiry Sector of Police Department No. 2 of the Drohobych District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region.
