In Lviv region, an extreme fire danger of the 5th class is forecast for 16–17 August. This was reported on the basis of data from the Lviv Regional Centre for Hydrometeorology of Ukraine.
In view of the high level of danger, rescuers are urging residents of the region to strictly adhere to fire safety rules to prevent outbreaks of fire in open areas.
Citizens are asked to:
- refrain from burning dry grass and rubbish;
- not light campfires in forests or near dry vegetation;
- not throw cigarette butts or matches on the ground;
- not leave sources of open fire unattended.
Rescuers remind everyone that even a small spark can cause a large-scale fire and destroy green spaces.
