In the settlement of Chemyryntsi, located in the Lviv district, a serious road accident occurred on January 31 at 11:30 PM. A young 18-year-old motorcycle driver from the district, riding a Forte motorcycle, lost control, drove into a ditch, and overturned.
As a result of the accident, both the driver and a 15-year-old passenger were injured and were immediately hospitalized. It was established that the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident, which led to his detention under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
The Lviv district police have initiated a criminal investigation under Part 1 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for a punishment of up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to five years.
Currently, the circumstances of the incident are being investigated to determine all the details of the accident.
