Under the procedural leadership of the Pustomitiv District Prosecutor’s Office, a 20-year-old man was charged with intentional homicide (Part 1, Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, in May of this year in one of the villages of the Lviv district, the suspect killed his acquaintance.
On that day, the men drank alcoholic beverages at the victim’s house. During the feast, a conflict arose between them.
During which the defendant began to hit the 51-year-old man on the head with his fists. After that, he fell to the floor, and the suspect took a kitchen knife and struck the victim’s neck with it several more times. The latter died on the spot from his injuries.
The figure was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine.
A petition was sent to the court to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention.
Investigative actions are ongoing, all the circumstances of the event are being established.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the District Police Department No. 3 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv Region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
