A 21-year-old man was found guilty of premeditated murder (Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) following a public indictment by the prosecutors of the Pustomytov District Prosecutor’s Office.
He was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months of imprisonment.
Prosecutors proved that in May of this year in one of the villages of the Lviv district, the accused killed his acquaintance.
On that day, the men drank alcoholic beverages at the victim’s house. During the feast, a conflict arose between them, during which the defendant began to hit the 51-year-old man on the head with his fists. After that, the victim fell to the floor, and the accused took a kitchen knife in his hands and struck his friend several more times in the neck. The latter died on the spot from his injuries.
The suspect is currently in custody.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the District Police Department No. 3 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv Region.
