
Prosecutors from the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office have completed a pre-trial investigation and submitted an indictment against a 25-year-old resident of a village in the Sheptytskyi district. He is accused of deliberately accessing, storing, and distributing child pornography using modern information and telecommunication technologies. The offense was reportedly committed repeatedly (Parts 1, 3, and 4 of Article 301-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation:
- Between 2023 and 2025, the man searched for, downloaded, and stored prohibited child pornography content;
- He used anonymous Telegram accounts and the Google Drive service to access and save the materials;
- The files were stored on his personal laptop;
- In addition to collecting the content, he deliberately shared it with others via Telegram.
Law enforcement uncovered the illegal activity during procedural actions. During a search of the suspect’s residence, computer equipment containing illicit content was seized.
The investigation was conducted by the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv Region, with operational support from the Cybercrime Unit of the Cyber Police Department in the region.
