A 25-year-old man from the Lviv district killed a fellow villager and buried the body in the garden

After committing the murder, the perpetrator, a 25-year-old fellow villager of the deceased, fled to Odessa. For what he has committed, he faces up to fifteen years of imprisonment.

On May 10, a 47-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Lviv district called the 102 hotline. The woman reported that while cultivating the beds in her homestead, she discovered a buried human body.

The investigative and operative group and employees of other services of police department No. 1 of the Lviv district police department No. 1, as well as operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department, employees of the investigative department, and criminalists of the Lviv Oblast police worked at the scene.

As the law enforcement officers established, the body of a 52-year-old resident of the same village, who died a violent death from head injuries, was buried in the garden, and the 25-year-old son of the woman who discovered the body was involved in his murder.

On April 20, a conflict arose between the men, during which the younger man struck the older man several times on the head, causing fatal injuries. Then the attacker wrapped the body of the murdered fellow villager in polyethylene film, buried it in the garden, and then fled.

According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 115 (Intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of seven to fifteen years.

Through the conducted measures, the police of the Lviv region established the whereabouts of the fugitive – in Odesa, and gave the orientation to the local law enforcement officers, who found him.

The pre-trial investigation continues, the issue of notifying the intruder of suspicion of committing a criminal offense, as well as choosing a preventive measure for him, is being resolved.
