One person died and four were injured as a result of a road accident in Turka – law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances
The traffic accident happened today, September 20, around 9:30 a.m., on Potik Street in the city of Turka, Sambir District.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, a collision took place between the cars “VAZ 2106” driven by a 19-year-old local resident and “Deo Lanos” driven by a 66-year-old man from Lviv.
The passenger of the VAZ 2106, a 29-year-old local resident, died at the scene of the injuries sustained as a result of the accident. Drivers of vehicles and two passengers of “VAZ 2106”, local residents aged 20 and 51, received bodily injuries and were hospitalized.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Lviv Oblast Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years or without it.
An investigation is underway, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
