
Law enforcement officers in Lviv region are searching for 29-year-old Nazar Yevhenovych Buba, a resident of Rudno, Lviv district. He is suspected of committing a serious criminal offense under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – hooliganism involving the use of a weapon.
According to the police, the incident occurred on January 14 at approximately 10:15 a.m. at the intersection of Lesi Ukrainky and Nebesnoi Sotni streets in Rudno. While inside a Volkswagen Passat, the suspect opened fire using a non-lethal weapon at a Volkswagen T6 minibus carrying servicemen from the District Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (RTCC and SS), who were conducting notification procedures. After the shots, he fled the scene.
Investigators from Police Department No.1 of Lviv District Police Department No.2, under the procedural guidance of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office, have officially charged the suspect in absentia. The article under which he is charged carries a penalty of 3 to 7 years in prison.
