A 32-year-old woman was found guilty of intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm and illegal deprivation of liberty (Part 2 of Article 121, Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) according to a public indictment by the Chervonograd District Prosecutor’s Office of Lviv Region.
She was sentenced to 7 years in prison.
Prosecutors proved in court that in one of the towns of the Chervonograd district, the accused had illegally deprived her of her liberty and beaten a child.
Late in the evening, a drunken woman would return home. On the way, she met her daughter’s friend, with whom she had a conflict the day before.
The stuntwoman decided to take revenge on a 10-year-old girl for arguing with her child.
She forcibly took the victim to her mother’s apartment, which at that time was under renovation and uninhabited.
There, the defendant began to brutally beat the minor. She inflicted the last numerous blows on the body with her hands, as well as improvised means, including a wooden stool and a metal hammer.
After that, the woman tied the girl’s hands and taped her mouth shut so that she could not run away or call for help, and locked her in the apartment for the night.
In the morning, the accused returned for the victim, washed her and sent her home. At the same time, she threatened not to tell anyone about what had happened.
As a result of the beating, the victim received serious injuries.
The woman will remain in custody until the verdict becomes final.
