The prosecutors of the Sambir District Prosecutor’s Office completed the pre-trial investigation and sent the indictment against the 35-year-old woman to the court for premeditated murder (Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that last November in Sambor, the accused was staying with her 36-year-old acquaintance. While drinking alcoholic beverages, a conflict arose between them, during which the woman stabbed the victim numerous times in the neck and torso. The latter died at the scene from his injuries.
At the prosecutor’s request, the accused was remanded in custody.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the Sambirsk RVP of the State Government of the NP in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
