Under the procedural leadership of the Zhovkiv district prosecutor’s office, an indictment was sent to the court against a 41-year-old woman on the fact of intentional homicide (Part 1, Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that in April 2022, in one of the villages of the Lviv district, in the kitchen of her apartment, the accused, together with her husband and their 48-year-old acquaintance, were drinking alcoholic beverages. During the feast, a verbal altercation arose between the participant and the guest, after which she grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her in the chest. The victim died on the spot from his injuries.
Wanting to hide the crime, the defendant and her husband moved and hid the body in the bathroom. The police found the body a few months later.
The accused was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, she is currently in custody.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
