In the centre of Lviv, at Rynok Square, an unidentified individual suddenly doused the city mayor with an unidentified liquid. The incident occurred today at 10:40 am.
Following the crime, the police quickly identified the perpetrator. He turned out to be a 46-year-old resident of Lviv.
At the scene, an investigative team and officers from the Lviv region were working. Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 1 of Article 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The article provides for a fine or probationary supervision for up to five years, or restriction of freedom for the same term. The pre-trial investigation continues.
