The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings continues.
On February 29, during the monitoring of social networks, law enforcement officers discovered a video in which a younger man struck an older man several times in the head. The event took place the day before, February 28, around 7:35 p.m. in one of the high-rise buildings in the city of Novy Rozil, Stryi district.
Through the conducted measures, the employees of the department of police activity No. 1 of the Stryi district police department established the identity of the victim – he turned out to be a 62-year-old local resident, as well as the attacker – also a 48-year-old resident of Novy Rozdol.
Investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 125 (Intentional light bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – a fine or community service or correctional service for a period of up to one year.
