As the law enforcement officers established, the perpetrator caused damage to the budget of the village council in the amount of almost 360 thousand hryvnias. He faces up to five years in prison for what he has committed.
As determined by operatives of the criminal police together with the investigators of the police department No. 3 of the Lviv district police department No. 2, under the procedural guidance of the Pustomytiv district prosecutor’s office, in 2020 the head of one of the village councils in the Lviv region entered into an agreement with a contractor company to carry out works on the reconstruction of an educational institution ( schools).
Subsequently, false information about the work performed and the materials used was entered into the acts of completed works signed by the customer. At the same time, funds were transferred to the contractor company for allegedly performed works and allegedly used materials.
Thus, the amount of damage caused to the budget of the village council is almost 360 thousand hryvnias.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings opened under part 2 of article 191 (Empropriation, waste of property or possession of it by abuse of official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and part 2 of article 367 (Official negligence) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been completed. The indictment is referred to the court.
The maximum punishment provided by the sanctions of the articles is imprisonment for a term of up to five years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years and with a fine of two hundred and fifty to seven hundred and fifty tax-free minimum incomes of citizens.
