A 54-year-old resident of the city of Chervonograd established a scheme for illegally transporting men of draft age across the state border of Ukraine

In Lviv Oblast, the police reported suspicion to a private entrepreneur who was illegally transporting conscripts across the border

Law enforcement officers documented at least ten such facts.

The perpetrator, a 54-year-old resident of the city of Chervonograd, who set up a scheme to illegally transport men of conscription age across the state border of Ukraine, was exposed by the employees of the Migration Police Department in the Lviv region together with operatives of the 7th border detachment of the Western Regional Department of the State Border Service of Ukraine and investigators of police department No. 2 of Chervonohrad of the district police department under the procedural guidance of the Chervonograd District Prosecutor’s Office.

As the law enforcement officers established, the entrepreneur, who was engaged in freight transportation, accepted “clients” for work, which allowed them to cross the border as truck drivers. After that, they stayed abroad, and the entrepreneur returned to Ukraine for another “employee”.

Law enforcement officers have documented at least ten cases of illegal crossing of the border of men of military age.

The investigators informed the attacker of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense, provided for in part 1 and 2 of article 332 (Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanctions of the articles is imprisonment for a term of up to seven years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

Soon, the court will choose a preventive measure for the suspect.
