Car overturned in Lviv region – three people injured, police establishing circumstances
The accident occurred on 20 October at 13.40 in one of the villages of Yavoriv district.
Law enforcement officers have preliminarily established that the driver of a Ford Scorpio, a 69-year-old resident of Lviv, lost control of the vehicle, which drove off the roadway and overturned. As a result of the accident, the driver and two passengers of the Ford, aged 64 and 70, were injured and taken to hospital.
Investigators of the Yavoriv District Police Department opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
The police are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
