In the past day, the territory of Lviv Region has recorded 80 fires within its ecosystems, resulting in over 7 hectares of scorched land. These incidents of fire were attributed to careless human behaviour towards nature, reported the Lviv State Emergency Service.
The fire does not discriminate among victims: it destroys everything from bird nests to domestic animals and even homesteads. This not only harms the environment but also poses a threat to health, as the combustion products pollute the air.
Rescue workers remind us: the fine for deliberately burning grass ranges from 3,060 to 6,120 hryvnias. However, the consequences can be much worse, as the fire can take away much more than just money.
