In Chervonohrad Oblast, the police arrested a criminal involved in the fatal stabbing of a neighbor
The issue of notifying an 86-year-old resident of Radekhov about the suspicion of murder and choosing a preventive measure for the detainee is being resolved.
On July 31, around 9:30 p.m., a resident of Radekhov contacted the police and reported that he found the body of one of his neighbors with a stab wound in the stairwell of the house on Rylskoho Street.
The investigative-operational group and other employees of the police department No. 1 of the Chervonograd district police department immediately arrived at the scene of the incident. Law enforcement officers identified the deceased, a 70-year-old local resident.
It was also established that an 86-year-old resident of the same entrance was involved in his death. While drinking alcoholic beverages, a conflict arose between the deceased and a neighbor, after which the woman caught up with him on the stairwell and stabbed him in the neck with a kitchen knife.
The man died from blood loss before the ambulance arrived.
The perpetrator was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 115 (Intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of seven to fifteen years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. The issue of notifying the detainee of suspicion of murder and choosing a preventive measure is being resolved.
