The Halytskyi District Prosecutor’s Office in Lviv successfully defended the first-instance court’s decision regarding two men involved in the illegal circulation of drugs and psychotropic substances. They were found guilty under Articles 15 part 3, and Articles 307 parts 2 and 3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The defense appealed to the Court of Appeals to reduce the sentence, but prosecutors proved the organization of a criminal scheme selling amphetamine, PVP, MDA, 4-MMC, and cannabis via an online store and Telegram channel.
- The drugs were purchased wholesale online.
- Distribution was carried out using drop-offs around Lviv’s districts.
- Packages were sent using various postal services with fictitious data for disguise.
The Court of Appeals supported the prosecutors’ decision and left the sentence unchanged – 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
