
In Lviv region, law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances of a road accident in which three people were injured. The crash occurred on June 6 at around 00:01 on the Kovel – Zhovkva highway near the village of Boyanets in Sheptytskyi district.
According to preliminary information from the police, a 15-year-old resident of one of the villages in Lviv district, who was riding a Lifan motorcycle, collided with a Spark motorcycle. The second motorcycle was also being driven by a 15-year-old boy.
Three people were injured in the crash
The following individuals were hospitalized:
- the 15-year-old rider of the Lifan motorcycle;
- an 18-year-old passenger of the Lifan motorcycle, a resident of Lviv district;
- a 14-year-old passenger of the Spark motorcycle.
Investigators from Police Department No. 2 of Lviv District Police Department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings over the accident. The case was classified under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of road traffic safety rules.
The article provides for a maximum penalty of up to three years of restriction of liberty, with possible deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are currently establishing the details of the crash, the causes of the collision, and other circumstances of the incident.
