Law enforcement officers in Lviv region are appealing to the public for assistance in establishing the circumstances of a fatal traffic accident that occurred on November 4 at approximately 5:10 a.m. on the western bypass road of Lviv, near the village of Sokilnyky.
According to preliminary information, a 42-year-old resident of Stryi district was driving an Opel Zafira when he hit an unidentified woman. The impact threw the woman into the opposite lane, where she was struck again by a DAF truck driven by a 69-year-old man from Dnipropetrovsk region. The woman died on the spot due to the severe injuries sustained.
Police are currently working to identify the deceased and are calling on anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any relevant information to come forward.

A criminal investigation has been launched under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of traffic safety rules resulting in death. The offense is punishable by 3 to 8 years of imprisonment and may include the revocation of driving privileges.
