Analysts of the Territorial Administration of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Lviv region anticipated the waste of UAH 117 million of budget funds. The contractor for the contract for the construction of the sports complex was to become a company without experience in similar works.
Bureau specialists established that the construction of a sports complex in the city of Kamianka-Buzka is planned on the basis of co-financing from the regional and city budgets. After examining the documents, the analysts found that the winner of the tender did not meet the qualification criteria set by the customer.
As it turned out later, the officials of the company that was supposed to receive the contract provided false information about the alleged experience in the construction of such structures at the tender.
In this regard, the analysts sent a letter to the manager of funds with a recommendation to review the decision regarding the concluded contract.
At the same time, information about the detected violations was sent to the Department of Monitoring and Procurement Inspections of the State Audit Service, which, based on the data of BEB specialists, obliged the customer to terminate the contract for the construction of the sports complex.
Analysts also sent an information letter about the alleged fact of official forgery (introducing false information into official documents) to the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region.
