A man from Kyiv wanted to transport men across the border through the Lviv region for 18,000 US dollars

Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, an indictment was sent to the court against a 33-year-old man from Kyiv for organizing the illegal transportation of conscripts across the state border of Ukraine (Part 3, Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that the accused, together with an accomplice, organized a scheme for the illegal crossing of the state border by conscripts to the Republic of Poland during martial law.

For this purpose, their data was illegally entered into the “Shlyah” system, that the conscripts are allegedly carriers of humanitarian aid cargoes. Therefore, it allowed them to travel abroad without hindrance.

The price of such a service for a group of six people was $18,000.

The illegal activity was stopped when his accomplice received the second part of the declared funds – 16,200 US dollars. The indictment against the latter was referred to the court earlier.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the National Police of Ukraine in the Lviv region, based on the materials of the SBU Department in the Lviv region.

Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
