At the ‘Krakivets’ checkpoint, border guards discovered an attempt to cross the border with a forged child’s birth certificate.
A 32-year-old resident of Kharkiv tried to travel to Germany by bus. He presented documents for three children, one of whom was fictitious. During the check, inspectors identified signs of forgery in one of the certificates.
It turned out that the document, allegedly issued in Spain, was purchased by the man via a Telegram channel for 2,000 US dollars. **Border guards** also established that the man’s wife, who had traveled with two children, was in Ukraine at the time of the ‘birth’ of the third child.
Regarding this fact, border guards sent a notification about the detection of signs of a criminal offense under part 4 of article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The exposure was carried out in cooperation with operational officers of the 7th Border Carpathian Detachment.
