The traffic accident occurred on January 27, around 3:00 p.m., on the highway “Kyiv-Chop” near the city of Busk, Zolochiv district.
As the law enforcement officers established, the driver of the Skoda Fabia car, a 60-year-old local resident, while making a left turn, drove into the oncoming traffic lane, where he collided with a Renault Espace car driven by a 32-year-old resident of the Zhytomyr region, which was moving towards Lviv . As a result of the collision, the “Renault” drove to the side of the road and overturned.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Skoda was injured and hospitalized. Also, the passengers of “Renault” – two women aged 32 and 38, as well as a 36-year-old man, all residents of the Zhytomyr region, received injuries of varying degrees of severity.
As a matter of fact, the investigators of police department No. 2 of the Zolochiv district police department opened criminal proceedings for proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
