The road accident occurred on 14 October at 15.15 on the Kyiv-Chop motorway in the village of Zubra, Lviv district.
As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, a Renault Logan driven by a 39-year-old resident of Ternopil, a Mercedes-Benz Actros truck driven by a 30-year-old resident of Novyi Rozdil and a Renault Captur driven by a 62-year-old resident of Zakarpattia region collided.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Renault Logan and three passengers of the Renault Captur, residents of Zakarpattia region aged 10, 36 and 62, were injured and taken to a medical facility.
Investigators of the Police Department No. 3 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
