As it has become known to the Voice of Soklava Region, law enforcement officers were working at the scene to establish the circumstances of the collision.
The road accident occurred today, 17 July, at around 10.10 a.m. on the Mukachevo-Ivano-Frankivsk-Lviv motorway near the village of Davydiv, Lviv district.
As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, a BAZ bus travelling between Lviv and Vybranivka collided with a MAN train. As a result of the collision, the driver of the road train and three bus passengers were killed. The bus driver and six passengers, including a four-year-old boy, were injured and taken to hospital. Doctors are currently clarifying their diagnoses.
Investigators of the Transport Crimes Investigation Department of the Lviv Regional Police opened a criminal investigation into the incident under Part 3 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article provides for imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
