On the evening of January 26, a tragedy occurred in the village of Vorotsiv, which belongs to the Yavoriv district of the Lviv region, taking the life of a 32-year-old local resident. The man was found lying on the road, struck by a Renault Clio vehicle, driven by a 21-year-old resident of the same district.
The Lviv Regional Police report that due to the injuries sustained, the victim died at the scene. The investigation into this case is being conducted by the department investigating transport crimes. A criminal case has been initiated under part 2 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which penalizes violations of traffic safety rules with imprisonment ranging from three to eight years, possibly with deprivation of the right to drive for up to three years.
