Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the sentence for a 33-year-old Ukrainian over a murder in Poland.
In August 2019, the man killed a 25-year-old Ukrainian woman, with whom he worked on seasonal jobs in Poland. After a conflict, he beat and strangled her, and fled to Ukraine the next day. However, thanks to law enforcement, he was apprehended in June 2023 in the Khmelnytskyi region.
‘The convict met the victim at one of the local festivals,’ prosecutors noted. The Lviv Court of Appeal upheld the prosecution’s position and left the sentence unchanged – **13 years in prison**.
