In Lviv, an official will be tried for illegally registering a garden house in the city of Vynnyky, causing damage to the city council. A state registrar from one of the village councils in the Lviv district interfered with the operation of the State Register of Property Rights to Real Estate by adding missing information, based on which he conducted an illegal registration of ownership rights.
As law enforcement officers established, in June 2025, the accused received an application for state registration of rights to a real estate object located on a plot of land in Vynnyky, designated for gardening purposes. Despite the lack of sufficient legal grounds, the official did not refuse registration but instead illegally registered the ownership rights.
The perpetrator was exposed by law enforcement officers from Lviv District Police Department No.1 under the procedural guidance of the Halytskyi District Prosecutor’s Office. The pre-trial investigation is complete, and the indictment has been sent for court consideration. For the offence committed, the accused faces a fine or corrective labour.
