Under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, an indictment against the blogger from Drohobych was sent to the court. He is charged with obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, producing and distributing materials justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine (part 1 of article 114-1, part 2, 3 of article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that a 40-year-old resident of Drohobych, being a local blogger, publicly discredited Ukrainian defenders on his social media pages. In particular, in one of the live broadcasts, the accused called representatives of the Armed Forces criminals.
Also, the accused repeatedly prevented the legal delivery of summonses by representatives of the TCC. At the same time, he claimed that the soldiers who were wounded at the front and started working in this institution are criminals. He called to prevent their activities. He filmed the conflict itself on video, which he later published on a social network.
The accused also published videos on his channel in which he claimed that serving summonses to citizens of Ukraine is illegal and unconstitutional. In them, he provided “advice” on how to build a dialogue with TCC employees and avoid serving subpoenas.
In addition, on his YouTube channel, the blogger also justified the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which began in 2014.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was carried out by the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
