A 47-year-old resident of Odesa and a 31-year-old resident of Kyiv were found guilty of committing hooliganism and intentional destruction and damage to property (Part 4 of Article 296, Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) following a public indictment by prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
They were sentenced to 6 years in prison each.
Prosecutors proved in court that in November 2021, the convicts tricked into entering a cosmetology salon located in the center of Lviv. At that time there were three employees and a visitor.
Entering the salon, the men attacked the female workers, sprayed gas canisters in their faces. After that, the attackers poured an unknown substance throughout the room and detonated.
As a result of the explosion and the uncontrolled spread of fire in the cosmetology salon, the walls of the premises, equipment and other property were damaged, as a result of which it stopped functioning.
