In support of the public accusation by the prosecutors of the Zhovkiv District Prosecutor’s Office, the court issued a guilty verdict against a resident of Lviv Oblast for committing domestic violence (Article 126-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
He was sentenced to 200 hours of community service.
Prosecutors proved in court that the man had committed psychological domestic violence against his ex-wife for a long time. The convict insulted the victim with obscene words, quarreled with her while intoxicated, threatened with physical violence.
Such illegal actions of the defendant led to psychological suffering and deterioration of the woman’s quality of life.
