
A tragic road accident occurred in the Lviv region, resulting in the deaths of two people.
The accident took place on July 10 around 08:30 on the ‘Lviv-Shehyni’ highway near the town of Sudova Vyshnia, Yavoriv district. According to preliminary data, ‘the driver of an Audi A4, a 23-year-old resident of Lviv, lost control, veered off the road, and crashed into a tree, causing the vehicle to overturn’, law enforcement reports.
Two passengers died in the accident: a 23-year-old resident of the Rivne region and a 25-year-old Lviv resident. The driver and another passenger, a 22-year-old Lviv resident, sustained injuries and were hospitalized.
The Lviv police have initiated criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for a prison sentence of five to ten years. The driver has been detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and the investigation is ongoing.
