
The road traffic accident occurred on 9 March at around 12:50 on the Kyiv–Chop highway in the village of Dubie, Zolochiv district, Lviv region.
According to preliminary information from law enforcement, two vehicles were involved in the collision: a Mercedes-Benz Atego lorry driven by a 44-year-old resident of Zolochiv district, and a Citroën Berlingo driven by a 64-year-old resident of Zhytomyr region.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Citroën Berlingo sustained bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility.
Investigators from Police Station No. 1 of the Zolochiv District Police Department have opened a criminal case under Part 1, Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of road traffic safety rules. The article carries a maximum penalty of restriction of liberty for up to three years, along with disqualification from driving for the same period.
The circumstances of the incident are currently being established by law enforcement.
