An accident occurred in Lviv region resulting in one death and five injuries.
Among the injured is a seven-year-old girl. It was established that the perpetrator of the accident was under the influence of alcohol. The accident happened on August 15 at 17:55 in the village of Yasnyska, Yavoriv district.
Preliminary data indicates that the Chevrolet Captiva Sport, driven by a 61-year-old resident of Yavoriv district, collided with a VAZ-2104 driven by a 57-year-old resident of the same district. The driver of the VAZ-2104 died on the spot, while four of his passengers and the driver of the Chevrolet were injured.
The driver of the Chevrolet was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The court will soon determine his preventive measure. A criminal case has been opened under Part 3 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for imprisonment for a term of five to ten years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
