A traffic accident occurred in the Lviv district, resulting in injuries to five individuals.
The accident took place on August 14 around 23:40 in the village of Lysynychi. According to preliminary data, a Renault Laguna driven by a 36-year-old resident of the Lviv district collided with a Volvo truck operated by a 34-year-old resident of the Zakarpattia region. Subsequently, the truck hit a parked Volkswagen Caddy and struck three pedestrians.
As a result of the accident, the pedestrians, the driver of the Renault Laguna, and his passenger were injured. They all sustained bodily injuries and were taken to medical facilities.
Investigators from Lviv District Police Department No.1 have opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty under this article provides for imprisonment for up to three years.
