Car Hits Pedestrian in Lviv: Woman Hospitalized
The road accident occurred on May 6, around 1:00 PM, on Briukhovytska Street in Lviv.
Circumstances of the Accident
According to preliminary investigations by law enforcement, the driver of a Renault Kangoo, a 19-year-old Lviv resident, drove onto the sidewalk and hit a pedestrian, a 46-year-old woman from Lviv.
As a result of the accident, the woman sustained injuries and was hospitalized.
Investigation
Investigators from the Police Station No.1 of the Lviv District Police Department No.1 have opened a criminal case under part 1 of article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the article’s sanction is imprisonment for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement is establishing the circumstances of the incident.
