Accident in Mostyska: Collision Between Car and Truck Results in Passenger Injury
The traffic accident occurred on March 13, around 19:15, on the “Lviv-Shehyni” highway on Hrushevskoho Street in the town of Mostyska, Yavoriv district.
Accident Circumstances
As preliminarily established by law enforcement, a collision occurred between a Daewoo Lanos car, driven by a 74-year-old resident of the town Stebnyk in Drohobych district, and a MAN truck driven by a 37-year-old resident of the Zhytomyr region.
As a result of the accident, the car’s passenger, a 19-year-old resident of Stebnyk, sustained physical injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Investigation and Legal Consequences
Based on the incident, investigators of police department No.1 of the Yavoriv district police department initiated a criminal case under part 1, article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the article’s sanction is imprisonment for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Authorities are determining the circumstances of the incident.
