
Two motorcyclists were killed in road accidents in the Lviv region over the past day. Police are investigating the circumstances of the incidents.
Lviv Region Police urge riders of two-wheeled vehicles to be cautious, adhere to traffic rules, not to exceed speed limits, and pay attention to road conditions. \”Protect life and health – yours and those around you,\” law enforcement officers emphasize.
On June 8, at about 00:50, in the village of Turynka, Lviv district, the driver of a Spark SP200R motorcycle, a 24-year-old resident of one of the district’s villages, lost control, went off the road, and hit a tree. The motorcyclist died at the scene from the injuries sustained.
Another accident occurred around 03:00 in the village of Hrytsivolia, Sheptytsky district. The driver of a Loncin lx300 motorcycle, a 27-year-old resident of the Sheptytsky district, also lost control, went off the road, and hit a tree. The driver died at the scene from the injuries sustained.
Regarding these incidents, investigators of the Lviv Region Police Transport Crime Investigation Department have opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of Road Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incidents.
