Two pedestrians were injured in the past day in the Lviv region

The police of the Lviv region once again urges drivers not to exceed the permitted speed, to refrain from risky maneuvers and to be careful when approaching intersections and pedestrian crossings. Take care of life and health!

So, on November 14, around 07:00, on the Lviv-Sheghini highway in the village of Zimna Voda of the Lviv district, the driver of a Fiat Scudo car, a 64-year-old man from Lviv, hit a 57-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district. As a result of the road accident, the pedestrian received bodily injuries and was hospitalized in intensive care.

Another traffic accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on Pasichnaya Street in Lviv. As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the “Electron” bus, a 48-year-old man from Lviv, hit a pedestrian, a 70-year-old local woman. As a result of the accident, the elderly woman received bodily injuries and was hospitalized in the intensive care unit.

Based on these facts, the investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years or without it.

Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the events.
