Two Pedestrians Injured in Road Traffic Accidents in Lviv Region

In the Lviv region, two accidents involving injured pedestrians occurred in the past day. One of them took place in the town of Busk, Zolochiv District, where a 65-year-old Brody resident, driving a Ford Fiesta, struck a 62-year-old local woman on the roadway.

On the same day, an accident occurred on Ivan Franko Street in the town of Horodok, where a 20-year-old driver of a Volkswagen Touareg hit a 13-year-old girl, a local resident. In both cases, the victims were hospitalised with injuries.

Investigators from Police Department No. 2 of Zolochiv District Police and Department No. 1 of Lviv District Police have initiated criminal proceedings under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for up to three years of restricted freedom with deprivation of the right to drive for the same period. Law enforcement officers are examining the circumstances of the events.
