
A road traffic accident occurred in the Lviv district, attracting public attention. This is significant as the collision between two vehicles resulted in injuries, and one of the drivers was under the influence of alcohol.
The accident happened on 2nd April at around 21:30 near the village of Liubeshka. Preliminary investigations by law enforcement revealed that the vehicles involved were a Subaru Legacy, driven by a 32-year-old resident of Lviv, and an Audi A4, driven by a 19-year-old local resident.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Subaru Legacy and his passenger, a 22-year-old woman from Lviv, sustained injuries and were taken to hospital. It was established that the Subaru driver was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
In connection with the incident, investigators from police department No. 2 of the Lviv district administration have opened a criminal case under part 1 of article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article’s sanction provides for imprisonment for up to three years with disqualification from driving for a period of three to five years. Law enforcement officers continue to ascertain the circumstances of the event.
